How to Join a Team

Joining a Lighthouse Medical Mission is an incredible opportunity to serve, grow, and make a lasting impact. Follow these simple steps to become part of our team:

1. Express Your Interest

Contact us at Info@LighthouseMedicalMissions.com to let us know you're interested in serving on an upcoming mission trip. We announce when our teams are accepting applications through our newsletter that you can sign up for on our website or through inquiring. Even if you are not ready to make a commitment, it never hurts to reach out!

2. Complete Our LMM Application

This is the Lighthouse Medical Mission specific application we use to gather vital information for our trips. If you have participated in a trip within the last two years with us, then you may send us any updates to your application instead.

3. Stay Connected

You'll begin receiving important emails with trip updates, deadlines, invitations to our required pre-trip meetings (available both in-person and via Zoom) to learn more about the trip.

If you are new to Lighthouse Medical Missions, then you may look forward to receiving a call from a member of our leadership team to hear more about your interest and see if this team is the best fit for you.

4. Submit Your Trip Payments

Space on each team is limited, and some trips fill quickly. Hold your spot on the team by submitting your deposit as soon as possible. We are already making travel arrangements and paying trip expenses well in advance, timely payments are essential to helping us prepare effectively.

Please make all checks payable to "Lighthouse".

Student Scholarships are Available

LMM currently offers two separate $500 scholarship opportunities for Christian students between the ages of 16-22 years old. If you are interested in applying, then please let us know when you inquire to our email address above.

5. Complete Required Documentation

Each country we visit has unique forms and requirements for our participants to fill out in a timely manner. This being the case, it is important to actively review the information we share with you and ask questions as they come up. You may need to submit:

Visa applications

Temporary medical licensure paperwork (for healthcare professionals)

Liability waivers

Code of Conduct agreement

Volunteer forms

Yellow Fever Vaccination Cards

Other country-specific documentation

 6. Prepare for Your Journey

We will share important information at each of our pre-trip meetings to help our participants better prepare for our time in-country. We send out recommended packing lists, travel tips, recommended vaccines, and share other helpful resources to help you arrive ready to serve. Our leadership team is available to help answer specific questions along the way.

We look forward to serving alongside you as we bring compassionate medical care to communities around the world! Every trip makes a lasting impact - not only on the people we serve, but also on those who serve. As our founder, Dr. Bob Hamilton, often says, "We often come back more blessed than the patients we serve." Time and again, our team members discover that the faith, resilience, gratitude, and relationships they experience on the mission field transform their own lives in profound and unexpected ways.
